Guy
joined the BUICKS almost 10 years ago, after fronting
a string of locally
popular acts. Band founder Matt Gusz 'discovered' him
after one of Guy's earliest bands opened for the BUICKS.
Through a steady communication over the next few years
and some gentle pushing from Matt and others in the band,
Guy joined forces with the BUICKS. It's been a great
ride ever since.
Widely recognized and respected as having one of the
most powerful and stage-ready voices in the region, Guy
lays
it all
out at every show. His unique phrasing and range of voice
is a perfect fit for the BUICKS sound.
And as part of the BUICKS signature sound, Guy plays
the harmonica as both a lead and a rhythm insturment.
From
horn lines
to ripping leads, he's a solid player and it's a great
compliment to the overall sound.
Since joining the band, Guy has also demonstrated his
ample song writing skills with three of his songs appearing
on their fist Teletone Release, THE BUICKS "Can't
Get Enough",
the cheesy bar tune "#6" and his mid tempo
ballad, "Because
of You". More recently, the popular tune, "Jack Daniels"
appeared on the bands latest release, LIVE @ LAST. |
